To be honest I totally agree with you, it seemed interesting at first but now I loathe it. Its one of the main reasons I failed, no motivation for it.

Same, but the difference is I have to sit in Law studies for 2 hours (3-4 if I'm not upto date) and it....it really kills me. Law studies destroys my attention span and I mostly just take notes and hope the tutor doesnt acknowledge me, because I am just not absorbing any of the material. The teacher is also very monotone so that doesnt help at all. No joy in teaching it, no joy in learning it~

Apparently, there aren't many job openings for psychologists. Either that or the pay is low. That's what I heard anyway.

Psychology is very interesting, though its not what a lot of people think its about. You don't learn how to analyse peoples behavior (at least not until the second year) and its mostly about theories of how the brain works and how disorders are produced. Very little solid facts.
You learn about the biological, cognitive and behavioral sides of psychology which are all very interesting, and when you get to learn about Sigmund Freud....man he has some weird theories xD

Well it depends on what area of psychology, I mean professional psychiatrists get paid £1000 pounds an hour (approx). But psychology can contribute to many things, social workers, motivational speakers or any job that may require you to interact with individuals or a body of people with efficiency, in that aspect its no different from Sociology.
