I think I might, not sure though, since I'm forced to buy a 3DS for it

That "Mewtwo form" isn't a form of Mewtwo at all. The official website states it is a Pokemon with a connection to Mewtwo that has a similar appearance, but it establishes it as a separate Pokemon altogether.

They've called pokemon forms new pokemon in the past...Aaaaand, the original leak source called it the "Eclair Forme".

So the Mewtwo lookin' poke actually turned out to be Mewtwo. I'm guessing the new forme will be speed based also. To keep up the pace when battling against Extremespeed Genesect. I don't see it growing more powerful in any other stat.

then again, Dragon Ball (Z) in general was lackluster at best compared to a lot of other anime.

but I'm sure the new Mewtwo forme will prove its worth :p

He is only outclassed by Deoxys-N (150), Deoxys-A (150) and Deoxys-S (180); and is only matched by 3 pokemon (namely Jolteon, Aerodactyl and Crobat), and none of them have a BST greater than 540.

I think it'll be a defensive oriented forme, personally. I mean, like you said, Mewtwo's original forme focuses on it's raw offensive strength. Perhaps Nintendo made Mewtwo's new forme as a sort of counter-balance; Still powerful and fast, but now more defense oriented. And, judging from the few clips I've seen of the movie, Mewtwo is the hero in it, and the story behind his forme would be because he wants to protect his friends, and thus, he was granted a new forme specifically made to protect and defend.

Well, I guess that makes sense. They've probably lowered the mega high SpAtk stat to compensate for the boost in the Def and SpDef too.
I'm still pretty pleased by its design also, despite it getting negative feedback from fans :p

So not sure if it's actually customization or just avatar type stuff.

It'd be better if you could change the mood of your pokemon, I'd love to see a gleeful Mewtwo or a disgruntled Jigglypuff.
